Happy Friday
How was your week? Mine was fiiire!
Having organized and hosted 125 amazing brand builders and partners of all sizes for our second edition of Google Marketing Live (GML pour les intimes) in our beautiful offices in Montreal.
If last year was intimate and scrappy, this year, we received help from Ana Thomas and her marketing crew, with A+ content and support, having delivered last week in Toronto the Google scale that made such an impression on me when attempting the ones in California.
We discussed, you guessed it, the Evolution of Search and the advancement of AI, which is now front and center. AI is on everyone's mind, changing how we search (circle it), work, and orchestrate how we connect with today's and tomorrow's consumers. It was delivered brilliantly by the one and only Frank Galvani, who was basically born in a search platform. Boom!
Enabling us to double our attendance. Pow!
Brand builders and partners could share, vent, and learn from each other through round tables on various topics and products like Pmax and Demand Gen, which are built to complement Search Ads in finding new ways to connect with valuable consumers.
I had also invited Marie-Pierre Leclerc from Intact to share her success story of having reframed marketing as a profit centre (read, not a cost!) in a fun fireside chat. (we also learn her favourite curse word btw, iykyk)
If building brands is fun work and all about creating value, bringing it to life is the cherry on top!
And Google Marketing Live is one of the many ways to do it and, ultimately, to thank our customers for trusting us.
I love organizing this event. It makes me relive my restaurant days, the excitement and energy only a Saturday night Grand Prix can provide (I miss having restaurants). Montreal is a great city that combines French "joie de vivre" and food with a healthy mix of Canadian and North American influences. It is also a city where great brands are born and led.
So last Tuesday was my Grand Prix Saturday night, and I am grateful to count on my Googler friends to help and pitch in, making it a wonderful day.
Can't wait for next year
Until then
See you next week.
